Our Ministries

Worship

We invite you to join us as we worship Jesus Christ each Sunday morning beginning at 10:30. Music plays a large role, as we combine traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs (using piano, drums, and vocals) to enable you to worship God "with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." A Bible-based message from the pastor is the focal point of the service.

There are two ordinances you may experience during worship. We serve Communion on the first Sunday of the month. And we plan on occasionally performing baptisms of those who profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior once a baptistry is built.

Sunday School

Sunday School for elementary school children takes place during the sermon. The children are in the sanctuary for the beginning of the service (including the time of praise) and to go to their classes at the start of the sermon.

Meal Programs

Following worship, we usually serve a "Sunday Brunch," providing time for food and fellowship. We also serve meals during the week for schoolchildren.

Computer Lab

We have a computer lab on our second floor which teaches skills to children in grades 3 and up.
Missions

The local church is the fundamental unit of mission. The American Baptist Churches/USA emphasizes this in how mission giving is structured; all contributions are voluntary, but we give willingly to support our shared responsibility of spreading the Gospel.

United Mission is the general financial support we give to the ABC/USA; it covers every facet of the denomination's work: regional ministries, National Ministries, and International Ministries. We also collect special offerings to help different areas of American Baptist mission work.
Prayer Warriors

We have a team of Prayer Warriors who are committed to praying for the needs of individuals, the church, the community, and the world. Prayer does change things, and these dedicated Christians are continuously proving this. If you need the Prayer Warriors to address a concern that's on your heart, use our Guest Book to let us know.
Good Shepherd Ministry

Our Good Shepherd Ministry provides homework help on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (4-6 PM) and church fellowship on Friday (6-9 PM). This after school program is funded by the Palmer Grant, awarded by the American Baptist Home Mission Societies and the American Baptist Foundation. The grant theme centers on Luke 10:1-9, in which Jesus sent his followers two by two into communities to heal the sick and announce the nearness of God's reign; the grant enables churches to embody the caring heart, serving hands, going feet, and prophetic voice of Jesus.
